Who is responsible for your information

Through our enquiry forms we collect the details you choose to give us: your name, email address, and depending on the form, your company name, telephone number, preferred advertising position and your message. We do not ask for sensitive personal information and ask that you do not include it in your message.

Why we use it and our lawful bases

• Responding to your enquiry — our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
• Advertising enquiries and bookings — taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and performing that contract, including artwork approval and invoicing (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
• Accounting and tax records — compliance with our legal obligations where a booking proceeds (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).

We do not use your information for marketing, and we do not sell it.

How it is stored, protected and shared

Form submissions are stored securely in the database of our website hosting provider, with access restricted to the people at Caraher Media responsible for handling enquiries and bookings. We share information only with service providers who help us run the website and our business (such as website hosting and, where used, email and accounting services), and only as needed for those purposes. We do not share your information with any public body or third party for their own purposes unless required by law.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry details only for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry. Where an advertising booking proceeds, related records are kept for as long as required for that booking and to meet our legal, accounting and tax obligations. Information that is no longer needed is deleted.

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing (including processing based on legitimate interests), and to data portability where applicable.
